Surface Cleaning and Fogging Guidelines
For easy and effective application to worktops, food trays, doors, sinks, toilets, telephones and fabrics, EnviroCair should be sprayed directly onto the surface, wiped evenly with a cloth and allowed to dry.
Cleaning Larger Areas
Use in commercial cleaning equipment and sprayers or For cleaning larger areas, such as floors and walls, the procedure should be as follows:
-
Apply EnviroCair to the surface, paying particular attention to heavily-soiled areas.
-
Spread evenly ensuring you cover the whole surface.
-
Leave to dry.
Any surface that becomes lightly soiled after application can be wiped using a damp, clean cloth. For more heavily soiled surfaces, you should reapply EnviroCair and spread evenly.
Fogging
Control of bacteria and viruses around farms within animal buildings can be achieved by fogging with dense cloud of small droplets from thermal fogger. Where a residual deposit as well as immediate control is also required cold mist fogger will give slightly larger droplets that will not only give a thorough kill of bacteria and viruses, but will also be produced in sufficient numbers to leave a residual deposit on walls and other surfaces.
Application
Seasonal Hygiene Routine
-
At the beginning of the season all hard surfaces to be given a soaking spray of EnviroCair. (Every Season)
-
Apply solution of EnviroCair sufficient to fill pipes in the water reticulation system, leave to stand for 20 minutes then flush out by opening one tap or micro jet at a time. (Every Season)
Daily Hygiene Routine
-
Empty feed and water bowls, wash with water and spray with EnviroCair (it is good practice to have 2 sets that can be rotated)
-
Before each feeding round on the same day, the Keeper must ensure that all hands and boots are decontaminated (use Hand Gel/spray with EnviroCair)
-
Always work from young to old animals
Weekly Hygiene Routine

Spray ground and all surfaces with EnviroCair
Access Control
-
No visitors should be allowed in the breeding and aviary section of the farm (Daily)
-
Ensure that the hygiene routines are strictly applied
-
Soak all overalls in a solution of EnviroCair before washing. (Daily)
-
Check water quality for microbial activity from boreholes or rainwater tanks, if contamination has occurred (Immediately)
-
Treat all drinking water given to the birds with EnviroCair immediately except in the case of live vaccines administered by drinking water, where a delay of at least 48 hours should be observed
-
Increase the frequency of cleaning and disinfecting water troughs and feed bowls from daily to twice daily
-
Leave a 48-hour interval between aerosol vaccination and fogging in the presence of the birds. In addition if vaccine given through the drinking water, stop dosing with EnviroCair 24 hrs before (3 Times Daily)
-
The fogging/light shower spray with EnviroCair should be carried out when birds are in their pens/brooders
-
Remove all clinically effected birds upon detection
WATER TREATMENT
-
Apply EnviroCair through Dosatron for continuous water treatment (Daily)
Animal Transport
-
Clean thoroughly with EnviroCair solution of use fogging machine (After Each Use)
INCUBATION / EGG COLLECTION
Before entering the pens
-
Gum boots must be scrubbed with EnviroCair Walk through footbath with EnviroCair when entering each pen (Daily on Entering)
Picking up eggs. Eggs should be collected at frequent intervals, at least twice per day
-
Spray egg baskets with EnviroCair before starting to pick eggs (Every Day)
-
Apply Hand Gel before picking up from the first pen and repeat at each pen
Cleaning and Disinfecting of Egg Baskets
-
Apply EnviroCair to egg baskets and wash with water. After egg collection 50ml 2-3 min. (Every Day)
-
Apply EnviroCair to egg basket. (After egg collection)
Egg Washing
-
Wash all eggs under a tap-mounted spray with EnviroCair before putting in the egg store. (Before putting eggs into store)
-
The transport vehicle should be sprayed/fogged with EnviroCair after each delivery. (Each Delivery)

-
Spray or fog with EnviroCair immediately after cleaning and before use (Before and After)
CHICK HOLDING ROOM
-
As chicks are removed from the hatchery and placed in the drying-off area the room and chicks should be lightly fogged with EnviroCair. Drying off period of at least 48 hours should be allowed before moving the chicks to the brooders (Daily).
-
Clean off any localized surface soiling using EnviroCair and rinse off with water (Daily).
-
Spray or fog with EnviroCair
BROODERS
Sighting and Positioning of the Brooders
-
The brooders should be position on natural draining slope
-
Grass should be cut short at the beginning of the season and again cut each time before re-positioning the brooders
-
Brooders should be laid out in a staggered pattern to avoid contaminated run-off from brooder to brooder. Brooders should be re-positioned onto an unused area after each batch
-
Construction of the pens should be made of a non-absorbent material or alternatively treated with a sealer. Vermin and wild birds should be kept out. Each pen should have a separate entry point to avoid cross-contamination when walking between pens
-
Good quality water should be used, if from a borehole it should be tested at the beginning of each season
Transportation of Young Birds
